The Human Resource Training Center of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in collaboration with GIZ conducted a training on e-learning applications on 2-3 May 2019 in Bogor. The training aims to improve the skills of users such as administrators, training organizers and lecturers (Widyaiswara) so they can operate the e-learning system, which has been updated both on a web-based system and applications on mobile devices, such as Android. 40 participants from the Human Resource Planning and Development Agency (BP2SDM) of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry joined the training.
Due to the training, participants increased knowledge about: e-learning systems; management of e-learning users; training management; management of discussion features (forums, chats, and video conferences); management of providing assignments and quizzes. In addition to theory, participants also practiced uploading training materials into the e-learning system.
After the training, the administrators, training organizers and lecturers are expected have improved their skills in using existing e-learning facilities. Therefore, e-learning can be an alternative method for increasing human resource capacity all over the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.
