To improve the Long-Term Forest Management Plan (RPHJP) documents of the Production Forest Management Unit (KPHP) of Lintas Sarmi-Memberamo and the Protected Forest Management Unit (KPHL) of Biak Numfor, the Papua Region XV Sustainable Forest Management Center (BPHL) held a public consultation on 11 December 2023. This activity was organized as a follow-up to the meeting on the Accelerated Preparation of RPHJP by forest management units in Papua Province, which was held in November 2023. The meeting was opened by the Head of BPHL Region XV Papua, Safrudin Jen, S.Hut., MM., and was attended by representatives from the Forestry and Environment Service of Papua Province, the Head of Section III for the Control of Climate Change, Forest and Land Fires, Sarmi Traditional Community Institute, PT. Bina Balantak Utama and FORCLIME, as well as the Center for Natural Resources Conservation in Papua Province.

The results of this public consultation will be used to complete the RPHJP documents of KPHP Lintas Sarmi-Memberamo and the KPHL Biak Numfor, which will subsequently be submitted through the Ministry of Environment and Forestry’s RPHJP Information System.
