FORCLIME is committed to increasing the capacity of forestry assistants and forest farmers groups in order to encourage effective and sustainable forestry business management practices. With this goal in mind, a series of training and business development assistance for assisted forest farmer groups (KTH) was successfully implemented between 2022 and the end of 2023 across the three provinces that comprise FORCLIME's working area, specifically Papua, Central Sulawesi and Southwest Papua.

In order to facilitate exchanges of knowledge and experience between KTHs and forestry facilitators who have been participating in business development training sessions, FORCLIME, working in conjunction with its PT SIMS and RIWANI GLOBE training partners, held an online learning sharing session on 20 October 2023. This activity was opened and guided by FORCLIME Manager for HR Capacity Development, Mr. Edy Marbyanto, while participants included KTHs and forestry facilitators from the above-mentioned three provinces. It should also be noted that 50% of the participants were women (a total of 22 participants).

"We hope that this assistance will continue, as we still require support in order to develop our business," explained Muhammad Azis, Assistant to the Social Forestry Business Group (KUPS) of Central Sulawesi Province.

FORCLIME is currently drawing up plans for further assistance activities that will be implemented until the end of FORCLIME 4.0 in 2024.
