Following up on the results of the recent FDG that specifically addressed the preparation of a Periodic Review document for the biosphere reserve, an activity that is undertaken on a regular basis, the Coordination and Communication Forum of Lore Lindu Biosphere Reserve recently held a workshop in order to solicit inputs aimed at the improvement of the Periodic Review document prior to its submission to the Man and the Biosphere - United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (MAB-UNESCO). The workshop was held in Palu City, Central Sulawesi on 19 October 2023 and was opened by the Head of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Mr. Subhan Basir, ST.,
In the wake of the workshop, a final document containing the Periodic Review of the Lore Lindu Biosphere Reserve will be drawn up and sent to MAB-UNESCO, which will then assess the overall sustainability of the biosphere reserve. During the workshop, a CB Lore Lindu roadmap was also prepared and this will now be used as a reference by stakeholders whenever they carry out activities within the Lore Lindu Biosphere Reserve area aimed at achieving sustainable development across Central Sulawesi.
