FORCLIME has been supporting the Human Resources Training Center for Environment and Forestry and the Environmental and Forestry Training Center (BP LHK) in the development of eLearning since 2014. The progress of eLearning development in different BP LHK has varied due to the fact that the conditions of institutions and training target groups in each region also vary.

To align eLearning development across various BP LHK, FORCLIME, working in collaboration with the Environmental and Forestry Training Center in Makassar (BP LHK Makassar), South Sulawesi, held a Workshop on the Preparation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for eLearning Implementation which was held at the BP LHK Office Makassar on 10 August 2023. The workshop was attended by around 25 participants that included officials, as well as lecturers and staff from the Makassar LHK Training Center and staff and teachers from the Makassar State Forestry Vocational School.

Issues discussed during the workshop included: (1) Measures relating to the implementation of eLearning, (2) Distribution of roles and responsibilities during the implementation of eLearning, and (3) Quality assurance during the implementation of eLearning. Information gathered during the workshop will ultimately be used in order to prepare SOPs on the implementation of eLearning for the Makassar Environment and Forestry Training Center, as well as for other environment and forestry training centers.

The results of the workshop will also be compiled and reported to the Head of the Extension and Human Resources Development Agency (BP2SDM) as input for the development of eLearning at the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in the future.
