Continuing with its support for social forestry activities in Kampung Haha, Seremuk District, Sorong Selatan Regency, FORCLIME recently coordinated with the FMU Sorong Selatan and the Social Forestry and Environmental Partnership Agency (BPSKL) of Maluku Papua in Section II to discuss the preparation of a Social Forestry Management Plan (RKPS) for the Village Forest Management Institution (LPHD) of Kampung Haha. The meeting was held online on 15 June 2023 and was led by Mr. Reynold Kesaulija S.Hut., M.Sc., the Head of FMU Sorong Selatan.

Kampung Haha secured a Social Forestry Decree through the Village Forest scheme on 30 March 2021. However, the LPHD of Kampung Haha has yet to develop an RKPS. The RKPS is an important document that serves as a guide during the management of social forestry activities. As a result, the preparation of the RKPS for LPHD Kampung Haha is planned for the near future, with a tentative date of July 2023 being set. The selected flagship products that will be addressed under the RKPS are agarwood tea, honey and sago. The RKPS development team will comprise holders of the LPHD decree for Kampung Haha, FMU Sorong Selatan, BPSKL of Maluku Papua Section II and FORCLIME.
